As an OTA at TIBS for Kids, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to help people with physical, mental, or emotional challenges improve their ability to perform daily living and work-related tasks. At TIBS for Kids, OTA’s are responsible for:   
  • Helping the OT implement treatment plans by preparing materials and equipment for therapy sessions, documenting patient progress, and providing feedback to the OT. 
  • Supporting the OT in assessing patient needs, abilities and limitations by observing and recording their performance during therapy sessions and administering standardized tests. 
  • Assisting patients with therapeutic activities designed to improve their strength, coordination, balance and range of motion. 
  • Educating patients and their families with information about their conditions, therapy goals and strategies for improving their daily living skills 
  • Providing emotional support to patients who may be dealing with pain, anxiety, or other emotional challenges related to their condition. 
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills through daily documentation and sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
